One of the things that hit me, once we joined a CSA, was how cool it is to see how food looks when it grows. Beets were actually ABOVE the ground, much different than I had pictured them. Everything looked ripe and succulent, much more interesting and delicios in its natural context than robed in plastic at the grocery store.

Every Wednesday here at DIY food, we’ll feature food in it’s natural environment- the ground. If you’d like to showcase pictures of your food growing, please shoot us a note via the “Contact” form.
